Practical Update #11
In the first post, I mentioned that my character will live a life of grandeur. As a result, the original story line has been edited and changed to better fit the new equipment that I have. The theme that I first laid it out as was tragedy, but after further deliberation I decided on a coming of age and perseverance film. The coming of age in this movie would be into the business of real estate.
The character will come from a background of successful realtors, and therefore feels pressure as he must succeed. He will review, land, homes, and properties alike all the while depicting a casual look. This look would be to isolate himself from the shadow left by his forbearers. The beginning of my film will include what a day to day life appears to be to the protagonist.
This story would not have an opposing character as an antagonist. Thereby leading to a classification of man versus nature. The nature would be stress, self-imagery, and the hostile world of business. There will be no inclusion of a deuteragonist as it will be the protagonist who perseveres through the trials laid before him by nature. This film would largely be reflecting the 19th to 20th century of drama as it will connect with the audience on the life of a middle class civilian.
Furthermore, story board and script writing have been completed. This only halts the plan for production by the need to wait for the filming equipment to arrive and be set up for use. this allows us to take full advantage of our time in production and expands our time in post production. This can lead to further creativity of the film such as use of foley sounds and the creation of them due to the now increased length of time.
