My Video Depicting 6 Transitions https://youtube.com/shorts/Uuo7gme3XVw During the making of this short video, I learned of the specific processes that go into making these shots. I learned and better understood the jump cut, freeze frame, fade out, cross cut, cutting on action, and flash back. Before the making of this post, I had always believed that editing was a simple job that took little to no time at all. However, my experience with this video proves otherwise. Throughout the video, I had to plan out the accordance of the acting to the shot. I had also realized to what seemed like it would take 15 minutes of editing turned into around 35 minutes of editing. This experience has taught me that editing and filming though seem simple, are actually quite complex. They use lots of time and planning. My role throughout the video was the director or camera-man.  My project will follow an idea of a character that lives a life of grandeur. I have noticed that in many previous projects for this project, always include some sort of mysterious or sad background. A part or a personality of mine is that I always like to do things in a different way than others. As a result, I began to contemplate and entertain several concepts. The concept that I believe I will follow will have a budget, several set locations, and a general idea of story board. In this stage, I am planning out my how I will execute my project over time. This includes preproduction, scriptwriting, production, and post production. The general time line for preproduction will be 28 days. While, most would consider this as too long of a time, I intend to buy crucial components to several shots. I also intend to buy costuming for this character.
