Exploring The Equipment #22
So on Sunday, not only was my footage oriented wrongly but I discovered an error with some of the packaging. As for a reminder, I had bought a tripod, a drone, 2 different types of SD cards, a 4k camera, a microphone, and a suction cup mount. The main tripod and drone were without complication. The same as well for the microphone and the suction cup mount.
I had hit very pivotal bumps with the SD cards. This is blatantly shown in the series of misfortune as I would like to call it or otherwise known as blog posts 15 to 18. When I actually bought the correct SD card and inserted it into the camera, it stated that it was not formatted. I panicked a little bit until I realized there was an option built into the camera to format the SD card.
Now as far as "exploring the equipment" goes nothing was broken when it came threw the packaging. The main tripod worked correctly with no issues or breakages. The suction cup mount was working like a charm as it indeed was able to stick to a vehicle going at speeds of up to 125 kilometers an hour. The drone has yet to be used but as far as packaging is concerned, nothing is broken or missing.
Then, there is the 4k camera. The camera itself is fine and almost all of the appropriate equipment is there as intended. However, the Amazon listed a flexible, mini tripod that comes with the camera. i can confirm that after thoroughly inspecting the packaging, there is no mini tripod in sight. It wont hinder my project majorly, although i do have to change the final story board to accommodate for this now.
