The Beginnings of Something Beautiful #19
So while my timing remains to be disastrous, I have gotten to work filming certain shots of the film. Specifically, I am filming a shot where the car would pull into a drive way. This shot would be the first introduction the character and would tie in the setting for the rest of the film. It would also represent a transition from one series of events to another.
This specific shot represents the character and their vehicle leaving their home. From this point in time to the point in which the character arrives to the location. The only mention of the characters' physical features is his hands and fingers. This allows some thoughtful ideas from the audience as to how the character appears or what might he be doing.
As a transition phase, this will depict the movement of the character from point A to point B. This shot will be one of many shots that will show thee movement of the car. There will be a variety of shots in which some will be on the windshield of the car and others on the side. Some will even be on the inside of the car, to better distract the audience of the passage of distance and time.
The character's physical appearance will be largely dependent on the shots following the arrival of the character. From that point in time there will be a variety of long shots, mid shots, and closeups to show the character an their attire in full. This would then also allow for a fluid introduction of the character into the film. The transition shots will certainly make a more seamless switch between settings.
